Support need types

Use this reference data to create and maintain support need types.

This reference data is not currently used in support manager.

Support Need Types reference data

The Support Need Types reference data enables you to store local disability and support needs that are associated with learners. This enables the same local code to be kept across years, even though the ILR codes linked to them can change year on year.

This enables the college to use its own local coding structure for internal college management information, while still supplying the required codes to the ILR.

The mappings between local and ILR codes are essential, and must be made, even where the two coding frames used are identical.

The mapping is performed manually by opening the Yearly Values screen which can be opened by selecting the Yearly Values button on the ribbon.
